Downtown Sound

Biography

Downtown Sound has been together since 2008 when our founding leader Pat Thompson, was asked to form a group to perform with Winston-Salem area barbershop chorus, Triad Harmony Express for their annual show. The group realized that a true bond was formed while preparing for this performance, and decided to continue as a group. Eleven years later, we are still together and enjoy making music with each other. We come from all around the triad area and although we come from many walks of life, we truly enjoy singing and performing together.

We sing a wide variety of a cappella music in styles such as barbershop, jazz, sacred, and secular. We would love to sing for you!
